Mocha-2 year old pittie girl weighing about 60 lbs. Spayed, house trained, crate trained, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Child appropriate? Mocha would do best with old, dog savvy kids.
Other dog appropriate? Mocha does well with small dogs and larger male dogs with proper intro’s. She seems to prefer calmer, lower energy males.
Cat appropriate? Mocha wants to chase skittish, nervous cats but cats who stand their ground she tends to leave alone and ignore.
How is he/she with strangers? Mocha is nervous with strangers at first but warms up quickly when she realizes they are friends. She can react to new people coming into the home but with treats, she overcomes this very quickly. Once she knows you, she loves you for life!
What is his/her play style? Mocha loves to do zoomies in the yard and wrestle with her foster brother. She is not a rough player, more play bowing and zoomies.
Does he/she like toys? Mocha enjoys tennis balls and stuffed squeaker toys.
Does he/she like water? Mocha enjoys playing in the hose and stomping around in the creek but she does not like going in a kiddie pool or big pool.
Does he/she like car rides? Yes! Mocha loves to go for car rides. She frequently goes with her foster mom to pick up her human siblings from school.
Exercise level needed? Moderate/High. She is young and has a lot of energy so a daily walk or an outing to chase a ball or something of that nature is needed.
Behavior issues? Mocha can be challenged with meeting new people and dogs and needs slow introductions. She can growl at times but once she gets to know the person or dog, she is normally fine. She prefers to be with people and does have mild signs of separation anxiety until she learns your schedule and that you are coming back.
Skills? She knows knows "sit", "down", "park it", "come", "wait" and "leave it."
Special/endearing things? Mocha is a super wiggly love bug. She wants nothing more than to be with people and to please. She is used to be being crated/left alone for several hours at a time peacefully. She is not destructive and chills when left on her own. She loves going for walks/runs/hikes and would be an excellent exercise partner. She has very nice leash manners and does excellent passing other people & dogs on a walking trail. She is very smart and listens to voice commands well and is eager to learn new tricks and commands. She seems to really prefer the company of males so finding a male caregiver would be ideal for her.
